The Istanbul Gelisim University Psychology Application and Research Center is an academic center established to bring together the fundamental knowledge of psychology with the fields of application, research, education, and social contribution. The center aims to support the production of psychological knowledge, encourage interdisciplinary studies, and create a scientifically based interaction space between the university and society.
Our center aims to conduct research on issues concerning the psychological well-being of individuals, groups, and communities, organize scientific events, carry out training and awareness-raising activities, and share current developments in the field of psychology at the academic and societal levels. In this regard, it prioritizes contributing to the development of students, academics, and relevant professional groups through seminars, workshops, panels, round table discussions, and scientific projects.
The Psychology Application and Research Center views psychology not merely as a field focused on understanding individual processes, but as a multi-dimensional scientific field related to social life, inequalities, education, health, working life, child development, and cultural contexts. Therefore, the center adopts an ethically sensitive, inclusive, critical, and scientifically based approach.
Our goal at Istanbul Gelisim University Psychology Application and Research Center is to strengthen the production of academic knowledge in the field of psychology, to make this knowledge visible for the benefit of society, and to develop a culture of psychology-based research, application, and collaboration within the university.
