Associate Professor Dr. Ekaterine Pirtskhalava gave a lecture in the Psychology Department and participated in a round table discussion at PSİKOMER.


Associate Professor Ekaterine Pirtskhalava, a faculty member at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, who came to Türkiye within the scope of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility program, was a guest lecturer in Dr. Berk Efe Altınal's Critical Psychology course, specifically during the week titled "Racism and Critical Psychology." Following her presentation, a round table discussion titled "Working with Marginalized Groups in Qualitative Research" was organized within the Psychology Application and Research Center (PSİKOMER).


Associate Professor Ekaterine Pirtskhalava (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Institute of Social Psychology), who came to Turkey within the scope of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility program, was a guest lecturer in the Critical Psychology course conducted in the Psychology Department at the invitation of Dr. Berk Efe Altınal.
 
Pirtskhalava met with students during the "Racism and Critical Psychology" session of the course and gave a presentation on her academic work and research areas. Thus, the first part of the event took place as an in-class academic sharing session organized within the scope of the undergraduate course.
 
Following the lecture, a separate academic gathering, a round table discussion titled "Working with Marginalized Groups in Qualitative Research," was organized within the Psychology Application and Research Center (PSİKOMER). During the meeting, academics from the Psychology Department and PSİKOMER members exchanged ideas on fieldwork, ethical responsibilities, researcher positioning, and methodological aspects of qualitative research conducted with marginalized groups.
